Research

Our research group adopts a challenge-driven approach in our interdisciplinary work spans control systems, robotics, and operation research. We tackle problems via theoretical analysis, experimentation,  prototype development and case studies.

Many research projects are pursued collaboratively with academic groups at the University of Birmingham and beyond, as well as with industry – particularly start-ups.

Our current research focus is on the automation technologies for contact-rich processes (e.g. assembly and disassembly).

Full technical details are available in our publications.
